Better Breastfeeding

Learning To Breastfeed

Breastfeeding is promoted as instinctive and natural, which in itself can be distressing if your experience is not problem free. It may indeed be an intuitive response for babies but for many women it is like any other skill, something that has to be learned.

The most important thing to keep in the forefront of your mind is that breastfeeding should be an enjoyable part of mothering. Feeding your baby should not be painful or something to be endured. Learning how to correctly attach your baby at the breast can prevent such problems as damaged nipples from occurring.
